Geboren 1983. Lebt in Athens, Ohio, USA. Studium der Theaterwissenschaft, Germanistik, und Philosophie an der University of Denver, Fulbright- und DAAD-Stipendiat an der Freien Universität Berlin 2010-11/2013-14, Dissertation zur Theaterwissenschaft und Dramaturgie an der Yale University School of Drama 2013, Assistant und danach Associate Professor of Theater History an Ohio University seit 2014. In 2022-23 war er Humboldt-Stipendiat, wieder an der Freien Universität Berlin.
Bücher: Performing Unification: History and Nation in German Theatre after 1989 (2017); Everything and Other Performance Texts from Germany (2019); mit Michael Shane Boyle und Brandon Woolf, Postdramatic Theatre and Form (2019). Mit David Savran, Redakteur einer Ausgabe von TDR über zeitgenössischen Deutschen Theater.
