Erdmut Wizisla

Geboren 1958 in Leipzig, Studium der Germanistik an der HUB 1983–1988, 1988 Assistent HUB, 1989 Wiss. Mitarbeiter im Bertolt-Brecht-Archiv, seit 1993 Leiter des Bertolt-Brecht-Archivs, seit 2004 zusätzlich Leitung des Walter Benjamin Archivs, Akademie der Künste, Berlin.
Erdmut Wizisla was born in 1958 in Leipzig. He completed his studies in German at the Humboldt University of Berlin from 1983 until 1988. In 1988 he worked as an assistant at the same university before becoming a research fellow at the Bertolt-Brecht-Archive in 1989. Since 1993, Wizisla has taken the position of the leader of the Bertolt-Brecht-Archive and, in conjunction with that position, has since 2004 lead the Walter Benjamin Archive at the Academy of the Arts in Berlin.
