Michael Wehren

Theaterwissenschaftler, Theatermacher

ist wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter an der Universität Leipzig, wo er Theaterwissenschaft und Philosophie studierte und gegenwärtig über die Lehrstücke und das Fatzer-Fragment Bertolt Brechts sowie ihre heutige Produktivität promoviert. Er ist Mitglied der Theatergruppe friendly fire. Wehren veröffentlichte und hielt Vorträge u.a. zu Heiner Müller, Bertolt Brecht und heutigen Lesarten ihrer Arbeiten, Körperpolitik, Tanz und Chor. Regelmäßig schreibt er für die Zeitschrift Testcard. Beiträge zur Popgeschichte, ist zudem am D21 Kunstraum Leipzig kuratorisch tätig und organisierte das wissenschaftliche Symposion im Rahmen der Zweiten Mülheimer Fatzertage.

Is a research associate at the University of Leipzig, where he studied theater studies and philosophy, and is currently writing a doctoral thesis onBertolt Brecht's teachings and fragments, as well as their productivity today. He is a member of the theater group “friendly fire”. Wehren published and gave lectures on Heiner Müller, Bertolt Brecht and today's readings of their works, body politics, dance and choir. He regularly writes for the journal Testcard. He has made contributions to the history of pop music, has curated the D21 Kunstraum Leipzig and organized the scientific symposium within the framework of the Second Mülheim Fatzer Days.
